Anthropomorphic!

This was a tough one. When I set out to draw the s**** of the ****** I didn't want to draw anything anthropomorphic. My own little rule proved challenging when tackling this entry...so I opted to ignore it. And why not! I used to love drawing mer-people when I was a kid. Clash of the Titans was (and still is) one of my favourite movies and this guy's lower half reminds me of the Kraken. I also used to watch the Hercules cartoon and drew a lot of centaurs and satyrs. I suppose this guy could have ended up half goat...

best,
j.

Klahd - Ha ha! Sorry to confuse. I did say the next one would throw you. Now I don't know whether to give more clues or not... :)

J, great work!

I'm still stumped as to what the theme may be. I've got a guess butI sure don't mind waiting around for another one of those sexy clues you're posting and if that clue happens to be another one of your hairy studs or two, bring it on! ;)

Cheers.

God, I love this series. Interesting take on this one . . . not what I'd have expected at all!

You've already posted two clues in the text of the blog, J. I say wait until you see what happens when you post the next one.

Thanks again for sharing these with us!

Carlos - I just finished inking another slightly hairy fella. But I think the next one up will top 'em all.

Francois - Ha, I love Aquaman! Those stupid 70's cartoons have sullied his good name for far too long :) The hair is blonde because I always think of mythological characters as having whitish or unnatural hair. Perhaps I should go in and lighten it more just to see the effect...

Nickel - It's my pleasure to share. I'm just glad you guy's are enjoying the drawings and the fun of guessing.

Klahd - And you didn't even need help ;)

Thanks, guys.

This one makes sense to me, it's Adam that's throwing me off the trail...

Beautiful drawings though!

I like how the white fish silhouettes mirror the white bubbles at the top of the page. It takes a second to register. It's a nice design choice. Even in the ones where you're not making the most detailed background it's still thought through.

Jspokes - All will be revealed when I'm done with the theme. Until them I'm gonna keep mum. :)

King of Hearts - Thanks, man. I try. Mostly I try to balance the more detailed character with less detailed background. And this fish man is one of the most detailed!

jspokes,

I believe the key to the Adam pic is the status of the object in the upper right.

Hmmm. A scorpion, a virgin, a fish and some big ram's horns. I'd guess you have 8 more in the series to go.
