Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday: GaD!

I've been checking out Aaron Nace's photos on his Flickr page and thinking about my Guy a Day sketches. I really want to be more creative with some of the situations I draw...including adding more humour. Hence the classic slip-on-the-banana-peel and guy-carrying-plate-glass-window-with-out-of-control-cyclist-rolling-down-hill gags. The other two were guys I'd seen on the weekend and are just regular style pin-ups.
Work is really keeping me super busy lately. I'm absolutely loving what I'm drawing right now...I'll let you know about it soon (Hint: It rhymes with "duperman" and "girthgay").
Happy summer!

Hey, guys with killer torsos are not supposed to slip on banana peels!

Great idea to do comedy pics.
Hot guys + humor works well.

I thought that your work had plenty of humor without resorting to the cliches of the two situations. Granted, those two are still really good drawings, but like I said, your sketches have a humor of their own - inherent. :)

Lee Major 555 - Happy to hear.

C. Edwards - It just goes to show you...comedy knows not beauty.

Francois - Thanks. I think so. Though in considering C.Edwards comment I wonder, if "comedy" happens to one of the beautiful people does it become "tragedy"?

Writer - Much thanks. I do try to be lighthearted without resorting to farce...but I thought some funny situations could add a little something more. I expect I'll mix it up with some funny situations and some regular stuff.

best,
j.

Actually, I find it even funnier. But I'm mean, I guess.

Francois - I think I would laugh too...after checking to see if the person is all right, of course.
