From the same producers who brought us Xena: Warrior Princess (and Hercules) comes a new sword and sandal epic -- SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND. I, for one, can't wait! The trailer has been online for a while now and I keep watching it just to catch tid-bits of what looks to be some terrific action. The creative team has smartly dressed the show to look like a continuation of (or at least in the same vein as) 300! Which is a feast for the eyes.
Spartacus promises to show plenty of beefcake! I sketched a few of the guys from the trailer, sometimes having to add my own details when the images weren't exactly clear.
This scene reminded me of something from a Frank Frazetta painting. Fur clad barbarian battling it out with our hero!

If "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" is anywhere as good as your sketches it should be a very big hit. Will we see your efforts in a finished form? That would be fantastic and Frazetta-esque! Glad to hear that the wardrobe is going to be similar to "300". I always thought Kevin Sorbo's Hercules was overdressed. Speaking of new series, have you seen "Blue Mountain State"? Alan Ritchson(Aquaman from "Smallville") plays a football team captain. Looks great and really fills out the jockstrap.
Musclsvg - I definitely plan to ink and color these. I haven't heard of Blue Mountain State -- but playing Aquaman solidified Alan as a favourite in my books. I believe he's also done some underwear modeling in the past. A Google search will find you a bunch of his photos!
Thanks for the tip on his new show. I'll check it out!

I shared my love for you work in a kind of stupid meme.

Apparently, some of the less-endowed boys (including Spartacus) wore a prosthesis (affectionately dubbed "Kirk Douglas") during full frontal scenes. Sorry, fellas. It's not real! They're no Viggo.
Starz.com has the first two episodes online. Lots of full frontal...

Love the action and movement in your second sketch!
Xavier - Thank you! I'm honoured to be among your favourites.
Grapestain - Aww! Why you gotta spoil it for us? Wait -- so they all wore the same prosthesis for various scenes? A shared prosthesis? That's hot!
Aman - Thanks, man. I've watched the two first episodes and love the show. I have to say I adore Lucy Lawless all the more for her role in this show! She looks absolutely stunning!

Came across this still from the original Stanley Kubrick/Kirk Douglas "Spartacus". Still pretty hot so I thought I'd throw it into the mix.
